Claw Command Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 15, 2026

Overview

Claw Command is a local-first app that connects to OpenClaw gateways you control. We do not operate any servers, collect any data, or have access to your conversations. All information stays on your device and the gateways you choose to connect to.

Data Storage

All conversation history, agent configuration, and session data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. Cryptographic keys used for device authentication are stored in the platform's secure keychain (Keychain on macOS/iOS, Keystore on Android). No data is stored on Code Pasture servers.

Network Communication

Claw Command connects to OpenClaw gateways that you configure. These gateways run on your own hardware — a home server, Raspberry Pi, VPS, or similar. All communication is between your device and your gateway over WebSocket connections. Code Pasture does not operate, proxy, or have access to any gateway traffic.

Data Collection

Claw Command does not collect any data. Specifically:

  • No personal information is collected
  • No usage analytics or tracking
  • No location data
  • No device identifiers sent to us
  • No crash reports or telemetry
  • No third-party analytics services
  • No advertising networks

Device Authentication

When you first connect to a gateway, Claw Command generates an ED25519 cryptographic keypair on your device. The private key is stored securely in the platform keychain and never leaves your device. The public key is shared with the gateway during the pairing process so the gateway can verify your device identity on subsequent connections.

Local Network Discovery

Claw Command uses mDNS (Bonjour) to discover OpenClaw gateways on your local network. This discovery is performed entirely within your local network and does not send any data to external servers. If Tailscale is installed, the app detects its presence locally to help you connect to gateways on your tailnet.

Data Export

The app provides functionality to export your conversations as JSON or CSV files. When you use this feature, you control what happens with the exported data. We have no involvement in or access to your exported data.

Data Backup

Your Claw Command data may be included in your device's standard backup process (iCloud, Google Drive, or local backups). These backups are managed by Apple or Google and are subject to their respective privacy policies.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you choose to delete it. You can delete individual sessions, agents, or conversations within the app, or uninstall the app to remove all associated data. We have no ability to access, retain, or delete your data as it exists only on your device and your gateways.

Children's Privacy

Claw Command does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Significant changes will be noted in the app's update notes on the App Store and Google Play Store.
